S/O Casper & Anna Maria Schmidt Hepler. Married to Catherine Wagner 31- Oct 1799. D/O Jacob & Louisa Huber Wagner, sister to Maria, W/O Peter Hepler. Christopher was born in Upper Milford Twp., Northampton Co., Pa. His uncle & aunt Christopher & Catherine Hepler were his sponsors on his baptism record. His confirmation records show he was a lad of 12 when he was confirmed at the Lehigh Church, Alburtis, Pa. He was a wheel wright by trade. He made the first baby carriage seen in the Mahantongo Valley. He was a well educated manfor his time, and from his old bible we gather that he possibly was the first genalogist of the family for he carefully recorded not only his own record but his father's and mother's as well.

Catherine was an aunt of Maria Catherine Maurer wife of her husband's brother John. That she was a splendid mother we know from the family she raised. Both are buried Zions, Pitman.
