Casper had first built a little log house by the spring. Only a small part of the foundation remains of this small log house. He later built a larger house just north of it. This is the house where Heinrich raised his large family. Though additions have been made, the original house still stands. The farm is still in the Hepler family today. The owner is Irvin Hepler. Heinrich owned a flour mill & feed business for many years known as Hepler's Mill. He was a man of marked energy and progressiveness.
