D/O Jacob & Louisa Huber Wagner. She was married to Daniel Maurer of Longswamp Township, Berks County, adjoining Macungie, and moved with him to Mahantongo in 1793. They're both buried with their parents in Howeter's Cemetery, and just across the county line. Daniel Maurer S/O Heinrich Maurer and Catharina Erhardt, was born in Grumbach, Germany, in the Glan Valley. He was orphaned at the age of four and raised by his sister Elizabeth, wife of Jacob Schankweiler (1732-1987), of Grumbach who brought Daniel to Pennsylvania, arriving on the Ship Prince of Wales, November 5, 1764, from Rotterdam and Cowes (Strassburger-Hinke, Pennsylvania German Pioneers, I, 701). The Schankweilers, Wagners, and Maurers were all members of the Lehigh Zion Church. He served in the War of the Revolution in Col. Elby's Battalion from Longswamp, Berks County as a private. After serving in the Revolution, Daniel Maurer bought land in 1793 with his father-in-law and settled in Upper Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County. He was a member of the Consistory of St. Jacob's (Howerter's) Church at Line Mountain. He died in Schuylkill County, Pa. Regina's birth is recorded in Macungie Church 3-5-1758. Howerter's Cemetery tombstone says born 1-25-1756. Bapt. Lower Macungie 3-5-1758. Confirmed 4-3-1774 Lower Macungie. Came to Mahantongo 1795.
