Charles is the son of Daniel & Maria Hepler He Married Catherine Love of Gordon, PA ca. 1869. They lived in Lavelle, PA. Catherine is the daughter of William and Elizabeth Paul Love. Charles died in Reading on October 25, 1917 and is buried with his wife Catherine in the Evan. Cemetery in Lavelle, PA. He served in the Civil War from 1- Jul 1863 to 2- Aug 1863. This was during the Battle of Gettysburg when all able bodied men were called to service, Recorded History of Pa. Volunteers, Bates. V. 1. PVT. Co. I 39th Regt. Inf.
